Beans 2 Brew

Beans 2 Brew is small coffee stop located on Appalachians campus on the second floor in Peacock Hall. This small corner is tucked away and is the definitely the definition of cute and simplistic. It offers a quick stop to get caffeinated in between classes, and also offers a sitting area with tables and chairs, and also stool bars to stop and study.

They stay with the simplicity side of things, serving the everyday hot and cold cup of coffee (no specialty drinks, which I actually prefer). They also offer some pastries and bagels for a quick snack. Running their prices affordable, they also offer a Happy Hour everyday at 2 o'clock serving a cup of coffee for only $1. You can't beat that! They also offer refills (on any sizes) throughout the day for only $1.50. (FABULOUS). As always, I stuck with my dark roast coffee. Which I absolutely recommend. It was smooth and tasteful, and I will definitely come back for seconds.

What makes this coffee shop special is that it is a student-run organization. It was created and run by the college's Association of Student Entrepreneurs. Founded in 2014, it has shortly become a quick grab-and-go caffeine station for not only students, but also the staff and the city bus drivers of Boone. Another neat thing about this coffee shop is where they get there beans. Beans 2 Brew has teamed up with other local coffee shops in the area, and serve there beans for CHEAP. (such as, Hatchet Coffee, and Camp Coffee Roasters) GREAT DEAL. They also have teamed up and sell products with Stick Boy Bread Company and Appalachia Cookie Company.

As their website stated this coffee shop has,

"enabled the students to sell more than 18,000 cups of coffee to students, faculty and community members."

This non-profit coffee shop is definitely one you can't miss. Selling quality coffee and pastries to students with affordable prices. So stop on in and get a good cup of Joe!
